Lenovo, popular in the U.S. for its ThinkPad business notebooks, is set to officially launch the Lenovo U110, an 11-inch compact notebook, Tuesday. After its debut at CES in January, Lenovo announced an official release date of the IdeaPad U110 on: April 29 for $1,899.

Many sources are speculating that the new 3G iPhone will be unveiled at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC08) on June 9.
A report released on Thursday by Citi investment research analysts Richard Gardner and Yeechang Lee suggests hopes are high and they have coined the date “D-Day for 3G.”

At a conference on Wednesday, Acer President Gianfranco Lanci officially announced the company will be releasing its first WM6 smartphone – a Windows Mobile device- by year end or early 2009. Smartphones are expected to account for as much as 10 percent of Acer’s revenue over the next few years.
