Shining Stars are plush stuffed animals that come with secret codes that allow you children access to a virtual wonderland where they can adopt and customize their star along with playing games and much more.

To use Shining Stars you need a plush doll toy that comes with a secret code to access the features of the site. Shining Stars does not offer a free option to play online.
Once you have a stuffed toy and secret toy you can choose the name and location of a star to “adopt,” name the virtual version of their plush toy and select terms to describe their new fun friend.
Features for Kids
Kids are able to play games and earn “glow points” to access more features of the site such as music downloads (original tunes) and short Shining Stars-themed films.
Users can submit wishes online or send inspirations e-cards to others.
Upon registering, you are awarded several thousand glow points but it fairly easy to burn through them in just a few fast clicks buying buildings, trees and cars to design a room for your Shining Star to play in.
Parent Features & Concerns
The chat feature only allows users to choose from pre-set responses like “Hey There” and “What’s Up?” so there is no room for misappropriate conduct. The usernames are carefully monitored to ensure that none are improper and that they don’t offer any personal information.
To sign up and obtain a username kids must have a request sent to their parent’s email address which parent’s must then approve. The only personal information the website will ever request is the parent’s email and zip code for username and password retrieval.
